    Although chances are that a PSU with only the one cable is either old or low quality. Your best bet would really be to either upgrade the PSU or use a card with only one 6 pin connector on it.
  2. A good rule to follow is, if the power supply lacks the proper connectors it probably lacks the power to run your card as well. Make and model?

    I think the best thing to do would be to replace the power supply before you worry about the video card. That PSU does not seem like something you want in your system. Here's a review that includes the 550w version:

  6. The fact that it's listed as a "650w" power supply and it only has one PCI-E connector tells me that it's junk. As in don't trust it to power a toaster much less sensitive computer components. That and quality power supplies are known internationally and I have never heard of it.

    Replace it immediately with a quality unit. You only need a quality 500w unit to power an HD 7870.

    Stick with Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ, or the higher efficiency Rosewill units for quality.
