I assume many places have return policys and restocking fees, I only see the perfect pixel for the Korean imports that don't even have a warranty.

are there any stores or tricks or ways to make sure you can get a perfect pixel monitor.

I heard best buy if you bout the extra warranty you get perfect pixel or take it back, im not sure though. please help don't want to get stuck with dead pixels for years on a new monitor

Dell has a policy about zero dead pixels IIRC, check them out at www.dell.com. Mind you, I didn't need to use the last 3 times I bought a Dell monitor, they were all fine.

I went to a Best Buy some years ago and asked them to connect a monitor to one of their demo PCs before I bought the monitor. I just ran Paint, maximized it, filled the image with black, white, red, green and a few other colors, checked for dead pixels each time. You can catch a dead pixel in a minute or two this way. I don't know if they are always willing to do this - maybe I was just lucky to find some good employees.
