I know many laptops let you switch from the main Gpu to the secondary one to save power. If this possible on a desktop or not. This is a legit question that i want a 100% positive answer to.

You guys must not understand what I am asking, Is there a way to disable the gpu after gaming, go to the intel built in one. I want to save money on idle power. I know you can disable one if you have sli that is not what I am asking. Im talking about going from aftermarket to built in with one click.

if by switching you mean using the on-board Intel gpu instead the pciE then yes within the bios change settings to using your igpu as your main settings ,and when you want to use your pcie express set to auto or set It to pciE

I agree. If you are getting a high end gpu use it. I can also understand though if someone wants to leave there computer on for hours while not using it saving some power can also be good. I leave my computer on for like 5 hours sometimes just downloading something and I won't even use it.

yes that's a good point and make sense then :)
