You have a fairly easy laptop to work on, this video should help get you to the heatsink (at 0:30 into vid)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMhaTy51Fo8 which I imagine is quite packed with dust. Once the fan is removed, you should be able to clear any dust from the heatsink fins. I wouldn't think the heatpipe and CPU cooler would need to be removed to clear it and get it running cooler, pull out the fan, clear any dust, replace fan and put back together. If you find heat is still an issue then replacement of the thermal compound may be in order but I won't suggest that just yet
