We'll using the system info scan on DriverGenius I found out all my laptops correct #'s. My FSB is 1066Mhz & so is my RAM speed. DDR 1333Mhz is really 666.5Mhz-it doubles its speed so no need for huge hot Mhz. 533 is 1066Mhz DDR3. The chip actually is a low mhz.
W/ seeing in the system report that Extended Temp Refresh Rate is- Not supported, Extended Temp Range-Not supported & On Dial Readout-Not supported...By my Laptop with the current 1333 RAM. So maybe we need to running the proper speed ram in our computers. I will be getting a 8GB duel channel PNY ram pack to find out.
WinUtilities, WinAmp, DriverGenius & Revo Uninstaller are the best .

"Access to SPD blocks" ??? You can pull the info off the SPD with a variety of programs i.e. RAMMon (can even use it in apps) the big thing would be building the info of what CPU can handle what DRAM and if the BIOS will properly take the SPD data and be able to configure things according to the date in the SPD (which is why you constantly see BIOS updates)

Now that you mention that, what would be nice would be a program, that would A) Identify if the DRAM is running at it's optimal settings and provide info (based on the mobo/BIOS on how to set up the DRAM (i.e. if Intel tell the user to go to BIOS and Enable XMP) or if AMD (again depending on mobo let them know whether the mobo uses EOCP, DOCP, XMP etc and how to enable and set) and B) would also be nice if the software would poll the mobo and CPU and provide realistic suggestions as to what DRAM might be suitable based on freq/amount and number of sticks i.e. an Asus Crossfire with 8350, the best bets being up to 2x8GB of 1866, or 4x4GB of 1600 or 4x8GB of 1333
