I was just wondering if the following build would be able to run games on high settings, if not, is there any changes i could make that wouldn't affect the price too much

Processor - AMD FX6300
Motherboard - Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD 970 Motherboard
RAM - G.Skill 8GBXL DDR3 PC1600
SSD Boot drive - SanDisk SDSSDP 63GB Pulse
Hard drive - Western Digital caviar blue - 1TB
Gpu - Powercolor Radeon hd 7870 2gb
PSU - Corsair builder series CX500m (500w)
OS - Windows 8.1

Solution
the ssd is to small to use in a gaming rig the smallest you want is 120g drive so there room for the ssd to do wear leaving and garbarge clean up. if you over fill a ssd is slows way way down. the video card is not a bad card most games will play well on it. some of the top high end games you have to turn down the eye candy to get 30 fps. for the power supply use the same brand just use the 600w unit. with the gpu and cpu you want to give the 12v line of the power supply a little over head. most power supply's run best at 50-70 percent loaded.

If only one RAM stick, I suggest you using 8GB 2x4GB dual channel kit for better overall PC performance.
Other thing to consider is PSU, that CX series is bottom line from corsair, they used some cheap bad caps, reducing PSU quality significantly.
I recommend a better PSU from Seasonic,XFX,Antec, or other series from Corsair itself like TX,HX,AX in quality order.
