I recently have the problem that LoL and other games can't connect to the internet.
I have tried a few solutions, but nothing works. I am pretty sure it is something with my computer, but i don't know what.
Could somebody help me with this?
Thanks in advance

I have turned of my firewall but the problem is still there.
I don't think the router is the problem because i can't connect to games at my girlfriends place either. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks

Question #1: When you say you can't connect, do you mean a) you can't join servers/online games, or b) you can't even see any online games available? And what particular error messages are you getting from the specific games?

Not being able to connect to a particular server can mean any number of things, including problems not related to your computer connection (i.e. server doesn't allow "foreign" players on it, server is password-protected for a "private" game, etc.). Not being able to see any available servers could mean a problem with the connection, a problem on your PC, or even that you mistyped your username/password to log into the servers.

Question #2: If you haven't done so, are you able to connect using someone else's PC (i.e. your girlfriend's computer)?

Again, being able to log in on another PC, especially if using the same Internet connection as your PC, means that the problem is on your PC itself: application is blocked, bad installation, etc. If you still can't connect even on a different PC, there could be a problem with your online account for the game: mistyped username/password, account locked/disabled/deleted, etc.

1) I can't patch the launcher of any game. This includes LoL, Neverwinter, etc.

2)Other people can connect to games with their pc on my wireless router.

I thought already that it was something with my PC, i just can't figure out what.

Thanks

OK, then it's not a router/port forwarding issue.

Now, if other people are able to connect to the same games on their PCs, try accessing your profile on their PCs instead. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact those companies about your online profiles.

If it does work, then there's something going wrong on your PC. You can try manually downloading & installing the patches, or just try uninstalling & reinstalling them. If neither one works, you may be looking at a problem with the hard drive, or possibly some other program blocking access (although most malware is going to block all Internet traffic, not just games).
