What are the optimal temps for CPUs and Motherboards?

The case I'm using is an NZXT Phantom 530 that has 1x 200mm fan on the front for intake, 1x 140mm rear and 2x 140mm top for outtake.

CPU - i7 4770 3.4ghz
CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-U14S
Motherboard - ASUS Z87-Pro

I usually play Battlefield 4. On idle i check on AI suite 3 i get 27c CPU and 25c on the motherboard.
I don't really if this is good or bad and also I don't know how to check the temps when I'm actually playing the game
and its on full load.

I also ordered myself 3 more 140mm fans and am planning to add 1 to the CPU cooler, 1 on the side of the case and the
last to the bottom.

You worry about them getting high when they get there. Not before, and definitely not after :p
The bottom would be intake, and the side as well.

Don't worrry, unless you're major OC-ing, it'll never overheat (unless your room temps are like 50°C) :p

EDIT: MSI Afterburner, to check temps while gaming.
That, and RivaTuner. You can also OC the GPU with it, but I use it as a monitoring program.

The idle temperatures are great. They go higher when it's on load so check them, though I think you won't have any problems with them either. You can download OCCT for stress testing and monitoring the temperatures.

Those temps are no problem at all. Heres a basic diagram of how your airflow should be.

Heat rises so your going to want a fan closer to the top back of your case and top so your setup is optimum for good airflow.

Those are really good temperatures you got there.
Really, you have to experiment with what works best for you. But in all cases, back is outtake and front is intake! ;)

@ldewitt:
It doesn't have to be that way. Since the PSU is on the bottom, he can have the top fans blowing inward. (Which also blows air over the CPU cooler, out the back.)

And positive air pressure = less dust.

Cool, so far so good. If I install a fan on the side of the case and one on the bottom, should they be for intake or outtake?

Also at which point(if ever) should I worry about the temperatures getting to high?
