But on games like crysis 3 and BF4 yes, you will notice somewhat 30%(probably less or more, depends on the game) better performance with fx 6300. that CPU only has 2 FPUs though, unlike an intel quad which has 4.
Unless you plan on doing some overclocking, I don't think you would see a huge gain in performance, and if you did, it would be with certain games. The FX-6300 would have more longevity, but it would probably be better to save up and get an FX-8320.
