I tried putting a 650 ti BOOST in my system, but for some reason it didnt work, so i tried a 555 OEM as well but it didnt work. I have a 430 watt power supply and my friend did the math and that should be enough. Also i have an AMD A10-5700k APU, just thought id throw that out there. I do have an ASUS mother board (not sure which kind) but i read somewhere that asus motherboards need to be completely updated in order to use gpus. Is this true? Or do i just need a new motherboard?

Solution
Enter BIOS/UEFI for your board and see if you can set PCIe (xpress) or PEG as default video device. If that does not help you may have a board with a faulty PCIe X16 slot.
