I am choosing between two laptops. The differences are:

GeForce GT 750m (DDR3) with Intel i7 4702 (2.2GHz)

GeForce GT 740m (DDR3) with Intel i7 4700 (2.4GHz)

Which is the better option? Same price. I am not a a hardcore gamer. just want a solid computer.

750m, without a doubt. Assuming you're gaming etc on this laptop, these processors are barely different. You should go for the more powerful GPU as you will see the difference in games. Hope this helps.

It should be fine. For all intensive purposes, the difference you'll notice between CPU's are miniscule, and non existant in gaming. The GPU is the important factor here. Go for the 750m.
