My screen keeps going black?

I just got a new nVidia graphics card. I installed it, installed the drivers and everything worked fine, untill recently my screen started randomly going black. It's just for a second as if it is readjusting and i do notice a slight change in the quality. Every time it happends i can also hear the windows USB plugged in sound.
Can you tell me the cause of this and how can i fix it?

i would try removing and reinstalling the video card you could have a bad seat in there.

Please give us more info on your hardware. List your Motherboard, CPU, GPU, PSU, RAM etc.

Took out the card, dusted and cleaned the PC checked all the plugs and nothing changed.

MoBo: AsRock G31M-gs
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2.5ghz
GPU: nVidi GeForce GT 610
RAM: 4GB
PSU: 420W

next i would suggest re installing your drivers. or maybe a newer version if available. or try a slightly older version if your on the beta version.

you're PSU may be the issue if it's a pre-built system. Can you list what model your PSU is? Otherwise it could be drivers or a bad card.

I reinstalled and updated the drivers. It seems to be working fine for now, but i'm not sure if it fixed the problem.
