I currently have an old 500 watts power supply, which i assume is too low for the r9 290.
I've done some searching and found This PSU; "ProSeries P1-650X-XXB9 XXX Edition Semi Modular (Bronze)"

Yes, I'm very stupid when it goes to PSUs, so im wondering if it supports the r9 290. Hope you can answer ;)
(I've looked at the Corsair TX650 v2, but its not available in Norway, atm).

650W is certainly enough, at least for 1 R9 290. That PSU is compatible with the R9 290.

Should be fine but it is on the low side. Try and get a hynix card. Elpida cards aren't looking so good. I have a sapphire 290 and i am suffering black screen crashes on gaming.

Edit- i am sure i see 500Watts. 650Watts is good. Perfect for the 290.
