Basically, for reasons unknown, my computer just froze while I was away for a few minutes, so I had to hard reset. Since doing so, it won't start up again. Pressing the power button causes it to display the screen on which it froze, accompanied by some distortions in colour and image.

Full specs:
i7 4770k
SeaSonic G650w PSU
Asus Z87 Maximus VI Hero
G.Skill 1600MHz RAM
GTX 570 Classified
NZXT Phantom 410

Built it about 4/5 months ago.
HDD is an old one from my previous PC. Haven't pulled it apart yet, I had thought it could possibly be a RAM issue, since it doesn't display a splash screen or anything, just defaults to the crash screen.

Any ideas to remedy this? Perhaps resetting the CMOS, or reseating some parts?

It's just a webpage on Chrome, with general things in the background like Skype, TweetDeck, Norton, Steam, TF2.

Doesn't show any signal of going into BIOS or Windows, just goes from the monitor's blank blue screen to the screen it froze at. No splash screen or animations.

Awesome - glad that fixed it for you. The screen you described should have been stored in volatile memory, which is destroyed when it loses power. While I've never seen that happen before, I was hoping that this would fix it.
