Hello, I bought a new computer and all my parts are brand new and compatible with each other except that i'm using my old hardrive that is like I don't know 15 years old or so. It's Samsung Baracuda i don't remember which model but it's old. So it makes a lot of sound while working (cracking sound) and sometimes when it's doing something it just stops and my whole computer freezes no sound, can't move the mouse or do anything so i just have to restart it, it also gets some lagg spikes for no reason even if i'm not doing anything and loads really slowly. I was thinking this has to do something with my hardrive. Any ideas?

Specs: AMD FX-6300, Radeon HD 7870 or 7970 don't remember lol, motherboard, ASROCK 970 pro motherboard, and 4gb ram (can't remember the type, 1600 something), got all the latest drivers.
