Radeon 6950 2GB wont go past 80% activity in BF4 - massive fram drops aswell.

Hello all I'm hoping to get some help... I have a custom PC that has massive fram drops in BF4 @1080p EVEN on LOW settings! almost same performance low-med-high settings which leads me to believe something isn't right.

Intel Q9550 @ 3.06Ghz - Max temp while gaming was about 65c
6GB DDR2 @ 1000Mhz
Radeon 9650 2GB - Max temp while gaming is about 63c ( I installed a twin frozr cooler )

any help would be awesome.

According to most benchmarks I see any Quad core does BF4 well to me this doesn't explain the same performance on low-high.....although it is an indication of a bottleneck so maybe you are right...just wouldn't think it couldn't handle it....who knows. Hoping that's not the case.

any quad core............... any quad will play it............ but all quads are not created equal and over time the coding changes and the older ones can't keep up............. I'm not saying what I said is why your machine is having trouble with that game...... could be..... could be something else. I'm just relating my experiences. the q9550 is still a good processor but everything has it's limits.

maybe because it's so popular all the spooks around the globe have their grubby mitts embedded in it and their spyware is slowing it down..........????

lol I think your first post is right I just honestly didnt think I would have a problem on high settings...oh well what can ya do.
