i tried to send them to the recycle bin as suggested but they ended up elsewhere.i am not a computer wizard and would be so grateful if you could help me.
thank you.william johnson
i think the problem started when my computer asked me if i would like to compress folders to save space,i clicked yes to compact them and they disappeared to my recycle bin.i only noticed they were missing a few days later when i was looking for a specific folder. however when i clicked to send them back to their original folders in outlook express they disappeared until my friend found them for me .however when i try to open them they are now encripted.thus i would be grateful to anyone out there if they could advise me as to how i can uncript them. as i said i am just a learner and i am not very proficient at the moment.thank you again.
Folders in Outlook express? So we are talking about ost files? 'my computer asked me if i would like to compress folders': was in Windows or Outlook, that asked you?
Did you look for them in the recycle bin?
If they are there, just restore them.
Sorry, but I'm still trying to get a handle on what you did, and are trying to do.
