i am using gigabyte b85m d3h motherboard which i also purchased yesterday so every thing is new
i am using dvi to hdmi cable so i tried vga cable by using dvi to vga connector then it says no signals
i tried my both cables on builtin graphics and everything is running fine
then i try gp in other pcie slot that runs on x4 speed gpu works normally and everything is running fine playing games normally but this gpu is not working on main pcie x16 slot if i use dvi to hdmi cable it keeps switching from dvi to analog and after few sec just blank screen and my led power light keep blinking and when use vga cable with dvi to vga connector it says no signal
can some one tell me why this is happening i also updated my bios latest catalyst installed

my pc specs are

Have you tried going into your bios when your monitor is connected to integrated graphics and then disabling integrated graphics and then rebooting with your monitor connected to your R9 270x?

If that doesnt work you might have a faulty pci slot. Although I am not an expert so maybe you should wait for a professional to answer :p

yes i did this too but still no go
at another forum a guy told me that plug in your gpu and then clear your cmos i did it gpu works but after going to log in screen system hangs and restarted then again same issue
yes the only two possibilities left is either bad slot or bad gpu gpu bought yesterday and motherboard bought last month

i contacted gigabyte technical support and they showed me that same gpu is running on same mobo as mine
so no issue of compatibility
anyway i got my motherboard replaced and they gave me new piece but my gpu also didnt run on its pcie x16 slot so i sent my gpu back and they said they discontinue gigabyte gpus and bring in sapphire so if you want we can give you sapphire r9 270x dual x with full waranty or if you ant to stick with gigabyte then give it to us we will claim its waraanty and it will take upto 3 weeks to bring another so i choose sapphire r9 270x dual x and it will arrive to my place tomorrow i hope now this gpu will run fine

I have the same problem, but it's with a Sapphire Dual-X R9 270! What's going on here between the R9 270 and the newest Intel mobos? Sapphire R9 270 works just fine in an older Windows 7 machine and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 4GB DDR3 works just fine in the i7 mobo but the Sapphire in the i7 mobo = blank screen.

Hey man,
I have the same motherboard and the same gpu. After some research I think it may just be the B85 Chipset. Did you say that it worked in the other slot smoothly? If so i want to try that because as long as it works im happy. I replaced my gpu thinking it was a bad card. Maybe the b85m-d3h is just not a good motherboard for this card.
