8800GT SLI for modern games?

Is the 8800gt sli powerful enough to play games like Far Cry 3, GTA 4, and COD Ghosts on medium to low settings? BTW if so im gonna match it up with my AMD Athlon II X4 760K. Thanks.

If you are implying that you want to get two 8800gt cards to put in your pc I would say your better off getting a better single card. You won't have the power draw and heat that sli setups cause but you will have the same performance.

If however you want to upgrade your pc by putting in another 8800 gt than it will probably do ok in those games. (make sure to check your PSU wattage to see if you have enough power for a sli setup)

Ok thanks for the help, it looks like im just gonna go for a single more powerful card for my build. I was thinking a GeForce GTX 650 Ti. Or would that be an overkill because my cpu would bottleneck it? P.S. My cpu is currently overclocked to 4.1Ghz

I'm currently using an 8800gt temporarily while I wait for my new 270x to arrive, I am using an fx 8350 and have 8gb of ram, but in DX 9 mode I can max all settings and am getting about 50-60 fps..
