How can I get a Win 7 PRO system to map a drive on another Win 7 PRO system?

I wanted to upgrade my computers. Previously I had a Win 7 PRO system and a WIN XP system. I bought a new WIN 7 PRO system to replace my XP system.

I can map a drive between the XP and WIN 7 PRO systems, but cannot get it to work on WIN 7 PRO - WIN 7 PRO. The network path isn't found.

The Network map shows both WIN 7 systems, and I can ping between. (The XP was move out and brought back just to prove that the mapping works between on other OS's.)

File and Printer sharing is correct.
I don't use a group policy editor and the mapped drive is open R?W for Everyone.

I've tried to map via Computer Name, and IP address.

Help?

Sounds like Network Discovery is turned off maybe? I know it is turned off by default in Win Server 2012.

I shared a drive in my Win 7 PC for my girlfriends Macbook. The only way she could get to it or that I could make it work without much research was making her a login account on my PC that she could use to connect to the share drive. I don't remember touching Network Discovery to do that.

Thank you for the suggestion! I looked on one side and found Network Discovery Off, but the other side is no longer available. I'm accessing remotely. Hopefully this will help!

I'm not sure why both computers showed up in the Network Center map, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
