Hello
My spacs are:
i5 3470
msi b75 motherboard
8Gb corsair vengance RAM
650w OCZ PSU
EVGA GTX 770 OC
2 SSD
1Tb HDD
Hp Pavilion 22xi 1080p Monitor

Im looking to upgrade my CPU from " i5 3470" to "i7 3770" i dont need the "K" version because i will not overclock. Im only play games Like BF4 and that kind of games. I want to know if there will be a big difference in performance between these 2 CPU's in gaming and general use.

I also decided that i want to upgrade my GPU: I have "EVGA GTX 770 OC ACX" im looking at MSI 780 Twin Frazer or MSI R9 290. Which one would be better in gaming performance. P.S i play BF4 with nvidia card and i get massive frame drops and stuttering, I've read that with AMD cards the game is smooth + it has mantle support.

Solution
Agree you would not really see much if any of a performance increase. And as said the i7 would not gain any real increase in gaming. Most games do not do well with HT and infact some suffer from stuttering and thus need HT turned off in the BIOS turning it into a i5 anyway. But even going with say a i5 3570 would not gain any real increase in performance from what you already have. For the price/performance you would not really gain much going with Haswell given that you would have to replace the motherboard and CPU for that. The main advantage with Haswell is in the igpu. But since you use a dedicated GPU you would not even get that.

As for the GPU personally I would just get a second GTX 770 and go SLI instead of getting a GTX 780...

You wont experience to big of a performance increase if you are only gaming. Games don't benefit from the hyperthreading technology used in i7 cpus, thus there wont be a big performance difference. You might want to upgrade your cpu to a newer haswell i5 if you really want to upgrade.

Battlefield 4 is optimized for amd so it will run a little bit faster on amd cards. However that doesn't mean you can't use a nvidia card to play the game.

The i7-3770 will not provide much if any additional performance compared to what you already have. The chip does offer hyper-threading and you will notice a slight improvement in Battlefield 4 but not enough to justify the cost.

As for the GPU personally I would just get a second GTX 770 and go SLI instead of getting a GTX 780. You would have much better performance increase than you would get with a single GTX 780. I can play BF4 great on my i5 3570K rig with a SLI GTX 670 setup,my signature rig, with no problems at all. Even with my GTX 670's being outed by the GTX 7xx cards now they still handle every game I have with no problems. As far as Mantle I would wait and see how well it really works since it is not even out yet and when it does there is no telling how it will perform from the get go it may need some tweaks and patching before it is up to par with the first release. Not slamming AMD here but with any new tech out of the gate it may take some time to work correctly.

Nvidia's SLI really does not suffer from frame drops or stutter the way AMD did but even that has been fixed from what I can tell with my two AMD/ATI rigs. I think a SLI GTX 770 setup would give you all of the graphics power you would need with some to spare.

I dont want to buy another graphics card. I have my 770 and i want to return it because one DVI is broken, so i thought i can add extra £70 and get R9 290 or add £110 to get 780. what you thing?
