Did I fail ? Monitor and motherboard

Hey guys my BenQ RL2455HM use hdmi but my motherboard dont have hdmi Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ ? Is it gonna work ?

You don't have any video output on your mobo - you need to buy a GPU.

You also have a Dvi and a vga input on that monitor.

Oh wait Im I stupid ? I have a gpu xD so im gonna plug it into the gpu ? and not the motherboard ? Sorry kind of new to pc for cables and stuff ^^

HDMI or DVI is the best - the only difference is HDMI has audio being sent as well....so if you have one of the two cables, that should be fine
