I was wondering where on my laptop I can go to determine whether or not my laptop has 2 graphics cards or not.

It is also a brand new laptop with windows 8 which I am completely new to.

After figuring out whether I have 2 graphics cards, Is there a way to know which graphics card I'm using while playing a game?

Wondering whether it is possible or not to check and know exactly Which graphics card my laptop is using while playing a specific game. What I mean exactly is, while I'm playing a game, can I alt-tab and go somewhere to see which graphics card is being used and for the game? Is this possible? Is there a function that will tell me exactly which graphics card is being used at the time and no matter what I'm doing on the laptop? (gaming or no gaming)

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out.

Also my Laptop is an Asus X550LC- FH51-CB.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for my late reply. When I right click computers> properties> device managers> and under display adapters, I see 2 components, the Nvidia GT 720M and an Intel HD Family. I know you said it seems like I only have 1 graphics card, but doesn't this clearly indicate that I actually have 2 graphics cards if there are 2 components under Display Adapters? (The Nvidia GT 720M and the Intel HD Family)
