I've been running a crossfire between a 7870 and an R9 270X (I know, not officially supported, but its been running flawlessly for over a week) and just today, my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX threw out a VGA LED error, and then it would resume booting. I get into Windows, check Catalyst Control Center, and my 7870 is not being reported, and GPU-Z detects it but throws out some weird info:
I had recently decided to throw two Accelero Xtreme III's onto my GPUs, would this have caused the issue (back plate too tight, heat sinks not properly attached, etc.)? I do know that these coolers void my warranty, so I really hope that this is just some sort of PSU error and that I didn't kill my 7870.
System Specs:
CPU - AMD FX-8350 @ 5.00 GHz (Tried stock clock, no change)
Cooler - Corsair H100i
Case - Corsair 750D
Fans - More than enough
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Mobo - ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
PSU - Corsair HX750
GPUs - Gigabyte R9 270x
Gigabyte HD 7870 GHz Edition
GPU Coolers - 2x Accelero Xtreme III
Windows Drive - SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD
Other Drives - Not relevant
EDIT: Running latest AMD Catalyst drivers.
