SLI EVGA GTX 780 Classy or EVGA Single GTX 780 Ti Classy?

I am currently using a Dell UltraSharp U2412M. And will get another monitor, BenQ XL2420TE.

Or get a single 1440p/1600p monitor.

Or wait unit G-Sync monitors or DIY kits (or whatever it is) comes out.

Well, it sounds like budget wouldn't be an issue, so why not SLI 780 Tis?

Performance wise, as if it wasn't obvious already, SLI 780s would easily outperform a single 780 Ti, and would likely be better for larger resolutions.

The only factors you would need to take into consideration is heat and power consumption, otherwise it should be fairly obvious.

Budget isn't an issue as far as getting a Ti now, selling my current reference ASUS 780, and using that money to get a supplementary monitor. Or sell my current monitor and use the money from selling those two things and buying a higher resolution monitor.

A lot of "or's" and money going backing and forth. Basically, getting another Ti isn't a current option.

Also, I see quite a handful of people having issues running SLI (on BF4, who knows on future games). Looks like it might be resolved now.

EDIT

Also, if I go SLI 780s, I'll have to wait to sell my Current Asus card, and probably won't get another or different monitor.

Well...

SLI GTX 780s: Won't scale as well in higher resolutions, such as 1440p and 1600p. Basically means: You will get better performance with them, but it's not worth the money for the extra performance. Also, consider waiting for the GTX 790. It's basically 2x GTX 780s.

GTX 780 Ti: CHEAPER; Will still max out every game at 1440p/1600p. Again, with this kind of money, it may be worth getting just a GTX 790 for the best of both worlds.

Just so you know, unless something has changed, you can't play games on 2 1080p monitors, either 1 or 3, and I think MAYBE 5. I'd get a nice, 1440p/1600p/4k monitor, as the cards you're looking at are more than enough for that resolution.

Another thing to know, you may be bottlenecked by the small 3 GB of VRAM on the cards above at those high resolutions. I'm not saying now or very soon, but you can count on it in a few years. If you don't want to upgrade for a while, consider either 2x R9 290s or 2x R9 290xs in Crossfire, or if you really like NVidia (like me) a GTX Titan.

I actually did not know that.... Now I just feel dumb haha.

But I was kinda considering the 790, but I feel like that that'll be priced pretty high.

It will cost more than the single 780 Ti, but NVidia has announced that it should be under a thousand bucks, and 2 GTX 780s I think should be around that price point, but if you are just buying another GTX 780 to match the one you have now, like you said above, then it's only another $500, but if you could get a good deal on your current 780... well... I don't know it's up to you!
