Hi! I recently installed Windows 7 on my computer and noticed my sound was not working. My sound driver is only showing as: "Nvidia High Definition Audio". My speakers are connected to the speaker port in the back of my computer, (which I have a feeling is a different driver...), and still no sound.

The Nvidia sound is only used for HDMI.
You will need to install the drivers for your on-board sound from the computers driver disc or from the disc that came with your motherboard. Since it is a new Windows install, you will probably find other things that don't work quite right, and will have to install the correct drivers for those items, too.

Thank you guys! I went to the motherboard's site (Asus M2N-MX), and installed the audio driver. I unzipped it to the desktop and proceeded to install the 64-bit version, which I have. However, the installation failed because it is not compatible with the OS? (Windows 7 Home Premium). What should I do now?

Is your windows a 64-bit or 32-bit version; home premium came in both flavors. Right click on 'Computer', select 'Properties' and it will tell you your system type. JUst to be sure. It sounds like you ended up with the 32 bit version installed.
