If the two PCs are right next to each other, open the side panel on the DVD drive PC.
Find long enough cables to go from the target PSU and motherboard to the DVD drive

Start up the target PC and install.

Or, 2 or 4 screws and simply take the optical drive out.

It has to actually be connected to the PSU and motherboard of the target PC.

I checked in side it's a Philips DVD8701 16x DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Internal IDE Burner Drive
Is there a adaptor I can use as it is already powered or will I need to get one from pc world?

OK. For a couple of reasons, this will not work.

The drive needs to be connected, data and power, to the PC you're going to install the OS on.That philips drive is IDE. I presume the other PC is newer? It will not have an IDE connection.
So you'd have to buy an IDE card *which may or may not work) all the requisite cables.....

Or, you could spend less money and just buy a DVD drive for the new machine.
