Hey everyone, so my pc had been restarting during gaming or just random surfing and at one point it blackscreened after restarting 5 times so I decided to take it apart, dust out the GPU/CPU and make sure there was no dust between the connectors. In doing this, I accidentally bent some of the CPU pins while unsealing it from the heatsink but I was successful in fixing them all pretty much the way they were previous to my F-up. My problem now is, my black screen restarts have completely disappeared as of 5 days ago but now I get my FPS dropped to half no matter what game I play every 3-4 seconds. Happens during League of Legends, Age of Wushu and even during a 3dmark vantage benchmark. Does not happen outside of these full screen applications so I'm at a loss as to what to do.
At first I thought my random restarts were a driver issue so after I put my case back together, I installed the latest Nvidia Driver for my card 33x.xx, did nothing to help my issue.
I came across a potential fix involving uninstalling microsoft .net framework, did not help at all.
My idle core temps are 40c CPU, 36c GPU and 38c HDD
Under Load : 64C CPU, 55C GPU
Setup is
GPU : EVGA 550ti
CPU : AMD Phenom X6 1055t
HDD : Hitachi 500GB
MOBO : Gigabyte 880gm-ud2h
PSU : 600W Thermaltake (1 month old)
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 2x2GB 1600mhz
I'm completely at a loss as to what I need to change but what I know for sure is that my RAM is shot as I get about 10-15 BSODS a month on average and it came up with bad sectors during a memtest. My budget is about $210 and I really just need to make sure I replace the right parts here as money is tight in my house, borrowing the money to fix my pc as it is so I need to make the right decisions, just asking if anyone has come across this issue and what did they need to do to fix it!
UPDATE: Forgot to add, my usual FPS during LoL and Age of Wushu is around 45-60, 20-30 during teamfights for LoL and for Age of Wushu (It's a pretty graphic intensive game if you guys check it out) is about 30-45 as well, 20 with heavy load
