I have tracked down a persistent memory management error and now believe that it is actually a failing PSU. However, I have very little knowledge on the topic, and I did not originally build the PC so I don't know what I need as a replacement.
The computer contains the following components:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955
Motherboard: Micro-STAR 790FX-GD70
Memory: 8GB Kingston DDR3
GPU: Radeon HD 5750
And is running a Silverstone OP1000-E power supply (1000W)
I've only been able to do a little bit of research but that seems... crazy overpowered?
How do I tell what I actually need? I'd like to keep from spending 200$ on a replacement supply if possible.
Thanks in advance.
