I have a 144hz monitor and would like to get as many FPS as possible in BF4. I currently have crossfire 270x's, but would like to run a single card if possible, because I hate running the game in full screen mode.

I dont have a budget, but I dont need overkill.

In order to use crossfire, you have to run the game in full screen, or else it defaults back to a single card. So it leaves borderless window mode out of the question which sucks for having 2 monitors.

So you want a card that can handle 1080p borderless? I'd recommend the GTX 780. If you don't mind dropping the settings, and saving some money, go for the GTX 770.

According to the following benchmark the Radeon HD 7990 would provide you with the best "single card" performance in BF4 single player campaign. The test rig is running an Intel Core i7-4770K @ 4.2 GHz, but in single player mode the game is that very CPU demanding.

Of course finding one would probably be a challenge and then comes the price. Officially released at $999, but was cut to $799 in August 2013 I think. Next up is the GTX 780 TI which starts at $700. Ultimately it depends on how much performance you really want to buy.
