which processor better?

Solution

Depends on your use case.

Before I start- I'd recommend you ignore the extreme series, the price to performance ratio isn't great, and the 4930k which is half the price, is only at the most 5 - 10% slower.

If you're editing (professional video, photo editing, etc)- go for the 4930k or the 3930k. (I would go for the 4930k, unless the 3930k is a bit cheaper)

If you're gaming however- go for a 4670k- that's one of the best gaming CPU's, and isn't overkill at all.

It goes as high as it can- every CPU is different.

If you'd like to go for the best of the best overclock, go with a AIO Liquid Cooler with a dual radiator, like the Corsair H110, or the Swiftech H220.

If you're concerned about your liquid cooling leaking, a good air solution would be something like the Noctua NH-D14.

You're motherboard is also a factor, so if you'd like some recommendations let us know.
