Bottleneck CPU questions

I have an intel i72600k 3.4ghz
Evga gtx 770 4g sc
2x4g corsair vengeance 1600 ddr3
Asus p8768 vlx mobo

I have read that my CPU could possibly be the bottleneck here. Any recommendations on a new CPU if needed would be most helpful

I have one but not the unlocked version. I plan on using the 770 aswell. I have no doubt in my CPU, I mean its 2nd gen, its a core i7, its the top notch CPU from intel. There's reviews of it using 780s and such. The Core i7 2600(K) isn't gonna be the bottleneck of your system

Lol. I was playing bf4 and I've read of people playing in ultra with this gpu. I cannot go full ultra. Don't get me wrong it looks beutiful. Black flag as well not full ultra. Just curious. Pleased as punch with this card and you guys totally helped me all the way!

bottleneck? are you saying your getting a low amount of fps? you never really identified your problem. Have you recently used an AMD card? did you use the EVGA CD? if so fully uninstall it and get the latest drivers from Nvidia.

Also your motherboard seems a tad bit old, perhaps using the latest BIOS could help.

Your CPU isn't the problem unless the temperatures are excessive

you still haven't stated what your actual problem is, your theory is that it's a bottleneck but you still have yet to say what your experience exactly
