Which monitor is better for gaming?

So I wanted a bigger monitor for my gaming rig this year. My 19 inches Samsung monitor that has served me well for about 2 years seems to be a little smaller now. Friends have 27 inch monitors and whenever I'm in their house and play games like DoTA2 and LoL, it feels really awesome to have a bigger monitor! I wanted a 27 inch Samsung monitor but my budget wouldn't fit so though I would just settle to either of these two:

ASUS VE278H - $289

BenQ GW2760HM - $275

Help guys! I wanted to know which brand will last and is a better one for gaming. I usually play RPGs and some FIFA14. Thanks in advance.

They are the same Hertz but different response time Asus=2ms BENQ=4ms
If it's a big deal, get the ASUS
If you wanna spend less get BENQ
Both are great monitors and should work like a charm for MMOs like Lol and Dota!
Though for FPS like cod and Battlefield, definately the ASUS one!

I have a ASUS 1080p 2ms monitor, though it was in the 160-200$ range, and it's lasted a very long time, colors are beautiful.
This probably isn't helping anything but I like my QNIX 1440p monitor more, but it's not meant for FPS games like my 22" ASUS.
I would definitely go with the Asus, but I personally don't know about the color on that specific monitor.

Compared to you, I have a BENQ G2222HDL, like 100 dollars or something. It is very good, Have had it for like 5 years. lol :D  Though it's no HDMI unfortunately :/  But yes ASUS are known to last long and deliver good quality! Go ahead! You wont regret it! (hopefully! :D )

Hello IamNedrah

I just looked at the specs for both of the monitors you gave links to in your post & ASUS seems like the better option.

Reasons Being

1. ASUS 50M:1 Dynamic Contrast compared to BenQ's 20M:1 Dynamic Contrast.
2. ASUS 2ms Response Time compared to BenQ's 4ms Response Time which makes a big difference in Gaming.

The only reason that I may go with BenQ is because their monitor has a DVI port on it but that just a tiny thing as HDMI should be fine.

If you are on a budget go with the BenQ monitor but if you are willing to spend a few more bucks then go with the ASUS monitor.

Hope this helped. :D
