ok i have the weirdest problem. when im not on the computer my 2 sli 580s heat up to 87c and than fans go up while not on the computer and as soon as i move the mouse temps goes all the way down to their original hate, which in my case is 37c on both cards. I recently cleaned both my card's heat sinks as they were both clogged with dirt and also added thermal paste were the gpu chip is. I really don't know whats going on?

That quick of a temperature drop seems almost impossible.
I'd formulate that the temperature readings are sketch, and the fans are ramping up in relation.
Have you tried multiple programs to monitor the temps?

i used nvidia inspector and evga precision and they both say the same thing, even when i touch the cards, they are really that hot. has nothing to do with programming. might be a virus though. im scanning my computer now with avga and i will come back and tell u if it works. and its not like its dropping instantaneously, it takes a good 5 minutes to drop to 37c, but whats instantaneous is as soon as i move the mouse, the temperature starts to go down one by one that is not right away. so say i moved the mouse while it was 87c, it would go down right away to 86 and then 85 and so on until its 37/38c
