New Mobo wont recognise old HDD

So I upgraded my mobo today to a msi 970a-g46. It boot up fine, but i went to windows installation and noticed it didnt detect my old Seagate HDD. Then I looked in bios, and it wasn't there either. Naturally I have the power and sata cable plugged into my HDD...

The old HDD might not work. Try testing it in a different PC.

In this case, not really. Have you tested different SATA ports/cables?

I found the problem. The original sata cables metal prong thing was stuck inside the HDD sata port...
