Power Supply: Corsair Builder Series CX 600W
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 500R'

You call this second one a downgrade compared to the one in the first link? o_O

If you could get this second one for less and a good cooler i would say go for it.

The motherboard is quite expensive.Do you need all of it's features like the option for crossfire?

You could for instance, also looking at the next motherboard when not crossfiring also looking at your psu which doesn't support crossfire either,
Asus M5A97 R2.0
should overclock this 6core good enough too and you probably would save the money for a decent cooler like the cooler master 212 evo.

Do you think downgrading to an MSI 990FXA-GD80V2 and getting a decent CPU cooler would be an improvement?
