computer problem when running games

When I try to play games like skyrim my computer just restarts with no warning but i can play it on low settings. I can play games like super meat boy fine.
any help would be appreciated
here are my comouter specs

Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H ATX Intel 1155 Socket Gen 3 Motherboard

Intel Ivy Bridge i5 3570K Quad Core 3.4GHz Socket 1155 Processor Unlocked

Team Elite 8GB DDR3 (2 x 4 GB) 1600Mhz PC3-12800 CL11 With Heatsink -

Evo Labs Cronus Modular 850 Watt 80+ Cert PSU

Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit

Sounds like either overheating or faulty power supply. I bought that exact EVO labs power supply myself as a replacement for my old core 2 duo as I needed one quick and it was the only available half decent one at my local store. It WAS NOT half decent. It burnt out after 1 weeks use and my system never worked right again (used to BSOD all the time) This might sound excessive but I would not personally turn on your machine again until I replaced that power supply.
