Hello all,
as my first post I really need help and I am desperate. I have an hd7770 made by asus and is the 2gb ddr5 ghz version. Each time I start a game I barely get 30 seconds in when I see red and green pixels ( sometimes this doesnt happen). Then it goes to a black screen and the pc just stops working. Sometimes I can hear the sounds off the game and have to hard reset the pc.

What I have tried:
Installing the latest version of catalyst
Installing the latest and older drivers (12.1)
Reducing the time out in the registry
running memory tests
Uninstalling all ati related software
Lowering graphics settings to the lowest
using a different and smaller monitor

My specs
FX-4100 @ 4.0GHz
asus hd7770 2gb ddr5 ghz edition
2x4gb ddr3 RAM
Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P
700w Xigmatek PSU
1tb Hitatchi HDD
Samsung DVD

Do you mean the vbios for the card ( silent vbios http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/HD77702GD5/#support)
or
the motherboard bios?

I took it to a computer shop and they said it could be the psu (not likely), the motherboard or the cpu. They said that the cpu being overclocked and on a stock cooler could be damaged. The people that I bought it off overclo cked it. Can this happen and how much would it set me back money wise? THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN. The shop is meant to call today and tell me whats wrong
