asrock z77 extreme 4 shows 00 error

Apparently 00 means "check if cpu is installed correctly". On that day i overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.2ghz and it reached 80c. So does this mean my cpu is broken but the motherboard is working since all the fans, lights and dvd drive work.

It's just not working still black screen saying no signal. I just wanna make sure if it's the mobo or the CPU so I can replace one. I don't have spare CPU lying around so is there a way to know which one is broken? I don't see any burnt mark on any of them.

the motherboard is broken, i'm not sure how but when i bought a new one and put in the cpu which still works. So i guess cpu s are more resilient than mobos. The solution is to buy/get a new mobo.
