Ok ive had my computer for about a week now and its been workin fine however a couple of days ago i started hearing a clicking noise very briefly on startup. My computer was working fine so ithought nothing of it. Last night my computer suddenly stopped working as in i could move my mouse and minimise programs but i could not close them or open new ones. Restarted my pc and after 10-15 minutes it happened again. I suspect it might be this clicking noise and i've read that ill need a new hard drie soon. Other things that have changd in the last half a weeks are that i overclocked my cpu for the first time and got a powerline adapter. What should i do?

Sound is a very quick mix between static and a clock ticking

ok i opened up my computer and tried to find out where the noise is coming from and it seems to be coming from the bottom left of my case (this is where the psu is) would a clicking psu cause failure?

extra note: before i removed the overclock i had been playing bioshock for about an hour and a half and the system was fine. However when i go on the internet to look if my post had been replied to i saw that you said remove the overclock so i did. The clicking persisted and when i went on the internet again again 10 minutes looking for bad effects of a clicking psu. Then my pc froze doing the same thing as before can minimise and maximise already open tabs but cannot close or open new ones. I believe the crashing is something to do with the internet.
