Can I use a Different cable to plugin my powersupply - Urgent

I have a XFX P1-650S-NLB9 PRO650W Core Edition Power Supply and the cable has the wrong type of wall socket at the end. I also have a old PSU cable from an old 2006 dell computer which fits in to the PSU, can I use this.

I am in Britain (we have fuses in our sockets) I had a cable from Japan which has no fuse and exchanged it with a British cord with a 5A fuse in this should be enough as my psu is only 650w but will it deliver a different type of current than if i used an adaptor?
