Solution
confusing to do the comparison again and again . everyone will give opinions based on there choice and experience . i have been using NVIDIA and used AMD not much . but both have their own +points. i will still suggest FTW sig2 again....

Is that style evga 660 the best for $200? Also are there going to be any next gen gpu's coming out and would be a bad time for me to buy a gpu right now?

That evga 660 has 1 fan on it, i saw some with dual fans?

it is blower not a fan . it is good working cooler . if need custom cooling so buy the gigabyte which has dual fan ... next gen GPU are over the range specified so if need something good so buy the 660

ok, i'll let this thread stay up until tonight or monday morning. Why is it when I ask people which card to pick, there's always 1 guy who mentions a AMD card and all the others love nvidia. So the AMD card though is best for my price range? should I wait a couple months for new gen cards? or next gen cards will be really expensive and not worth me waiting?

thanks a lot guys for the opinions!

This would be a very good card, $180, 10% faster than the GTX 660, and overclocks very well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121823

A good 270X would run you about $40... since no one is selling the reference cooler and and they put a premium on all the non-reference ones. As far as virtual currency mining, it doesn't really affect cards less powerful than the R9 280X.

Honestly, since the non-x version of the R9 270 is almost literally the same chip with lower clock rates, if you overclock it, there's very little reason to actually get the X, and the card I linked will overclock rather well, putting you well outside the reach of the GTX 660.

so the OC is what makes this card a lot better than gtx 660? the 660 specs are higher than the

Core Clock
950MHz

Boost Clock
975MHz

the best gtx I found was the Dual fan ftw signature two? so that is better? I don't know anything about over clocking, i just built a gaming pc 4 years ago and enjoyed it. I'm scared I will burn or fry out my hardware over clocking.

also what would be the best mobo I can get that has good quality? I'm on a budget also with that, I would like to spend $50-70 on a mobo, but if I needed to spend maybe $10-15 more I might if it's really worth it.

hmm, so I should go for the one I linked http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130967&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= ?

This is exactly as the signature 2, but it's missing something? Signature two's are $230 ?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130833

the signature 2 has a 3 gb version for $15 more too? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130836

what is the difference between the $200 and the $224 version? the $200 doesn't say FTW sig 2, it's just a FTW

I'm good with computer and I learn fast, but I don't like the idea of me being able to "fry" my gpu/cpu with OC'ING.

also what would be a good mobo for a AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor, and be around $50-70 for it? I might would spend $10-15 more if it's truly worth the extra $$.
