Hi guys, I need help... Sorry for my bad english i'll try to explain as much as i can

My Config was i3 + IntelDH55TC + 2x2gb ram + Corsair CX500v2 + MSI R6850 Cyclone

then my 6850 cyclone went dead and gave it for RMA after 2+ months i got MSI 78501gb OC edition yesterday and i also bought new processor and motherboard so now current config is

Fx8320
M5a97 EVO R2.0
2x2GB ram
Corsair CX500v2
MSI R7850 1GB

the gpu i got from service center is kinda new not sure though cos they didn't gave me box but they opened from white MSI box and gave me in plastic bag as gpu was replacement they didn't gave me box or anything, i installed gpu on mobo and then started pc it worked well, installed drivers (while gpu was in rma was using 9400gt) so uninstalled nvidia drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and then clean installed amd drivers 13.9 and also tried 13.12Latest version.
nothing is overclocked i tried to download CPU and GPU both and still it was getting freeze on blackscreen after some times ! i monitored temperatures and gpu was going upto 70C and that's normal and games crashes even on 60C temp. i tried manual fan settings to 50% and it worked for a while not it takes more time to crash and freeze to black screen. i also tried furmark tool and gpu passed in the test temp was going beyond 75C but no crash when testing. also tested CPU with heavyload tool and no crashes ! it only crashes when gaming. i'm playing Battlefield 3 SP and MP both and in both modes it gives me Black screen and freezes nothing works i have to hardreset pc then only it boots up and works again. Need Help Guys.

Solution

Reinstalling OS is always one troubleshoot step, I just try to save data as long as I can during troubleshooting lol If it still happens in the other slot, try...
Try plugging the GPU into your other PCIe slot, and see what happens. You can also try resetting the BIOS, by unplugging the computer and removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard for 30 seconds or so.

That said, it sounds like a bad PSU to me. Can you try another PSU from another computer just to test?

i'm also wondering if reinstalling os will help ?

Thank you For you replies that helps me alot !
btw bro tried what u told but the same prob bios set to default then also i set to no OC profile i.e. all stock clocks from bios and no luck !

and Update is that freeze is no longer stops everything i.e. i'm on teamspeak server with my clan while playing bf3 MP and i still can hear and chat with them (voice chat) although keyboard/mouse doesn't works !
is this black screen problem of GPU's VRAM ? cos i just restarted pc after that crash and while that crash screen was not black it was stipes grey/black kind of if u want to see then i can upload that pic as well ! i captured that image it's similer to previous pink color but this time just color is different.

Hmm... Have you monitored the temperatures of your CPU and GPU? Install programs called CPU-Z and GPU-Z and have those open while running a processor-intensive program and a game, and see what happens to your temps. Could be overheating of the GPU is what it is starting to sound like.

already did just played couple of bf3 MP rounds let me show you that pic and this time i played whole 2 rounds and didn't crashed previously gpu fan was running slow and somehow not it's running fast/as required and GPU temp never crossed 63C in both the rounds and didn't crashed :|
will keep you updated now will play more rounds to see if it crashes again or not :/ hope now it'll never crash !

in-game SS with monitoring on : http://imgur.com/6cxvq4D

previously fan was running only 1.4K RPM then i set it to 50% that made 1850 RPM and now again i set it to auto and it keeps changes as per temp. max RPM was 2299

was using HWmon tool and it's OSD here's SS of GPU part : http://imgur.com/eBSVBPS
