I like to play demanding games like modded skyrim, crysis 3, metro last light, battlefield 4 and future games like star citizen, crysis 4, fallout 4, watch dog, fallout 4 etc. With this in mind, would a fx-8350 perform better than a i5 4670 for me since i don't play older games? and how does a fx-8350 compare to the i7 4770? Thanks!

I know once the resolution increases, they balance out better. Still a notable difference though between the FX-8350 and the i5 2500/3500 series. The 4600 series i5's were not out at the time of these reviews, and are just a hair faster than the 3500 series i5's.

PS: Some of these games have been known to be effected by memory bandwidth(F1 for example), and intel has...

-Its good for upcoming gaming, though I would just save money and get the 8320.
-Unless you get a good OC on the 8320/50, the 4670 is going to be faster. 8 core optimizations have definately helped the FX series but it isn't magic.
-I think the 4770 is better in most situations against the FX 8350.

I agree with everything you said, but don't forget that the 4670 can be overclocked as well. ;) If a game is heavily CPU dependant, the 4670 at 4.5ghz will show higher frames than a FX-8320 at 4.5ghz unless the game can take full advantage of all 8 cores. OP, the 4770k is the most future proof CPU of the 3 IMO.

If we are talking games .. then we are talking GPU not .. cpu ...

but anyway ...

i would say if u can afford 8350 .. that would be best... better base core ... better overclock headroom ... .. i got one myself and i love it..

if u got money for the i7 4770k .. its better than 8350 .. but cost more cash ...

8350 have better preformance/cash

so as said games = Gpu .... so consider GTX 780.. or r9 280X/290 .. i would not go amd right now since prices are really high

also nvidia going to make new generation in Feb or march .. better stay and see what they got

PS: Some of these games have been known to be effected by memory bandwidth(F1 for example), and intel has quite a bit more momery bandwidth as well. There is still a decent difference in alot of games, that weigh in favor the intel chips.
