Hi all

I recently bought the Gigabyte GTX 780 Ghz Edition. Coming from a AMD video card I was especially excited about the Physx effects in some games.

Unfortunately it seems like this feature doesn't quite work for me in some games. I get all effects in Borderlands 2 but in Hawken for example i only get the turbulence Effects on the healing orbs but nothing else (no debris or even turbulence effects on shields or destroyed mechs).

It seems that I don't get Physx effects in Batman Arkham City or Planetside 2 at all.

I read that there are problems with the Plametside 2 Physx but what's with the other games?

I already tried to reinstall my drivers and double checked that Physx is enabled in the Control Panel and in-game.

I don't know where the Problem is. Is it the game or my video card?

Thanksin advance for any help!

Thanks. I will try that. Btw. I just tried running FluidMark and it worked fine. So Physx seems to be working in general.

I've had no issues with my GTX680 in the last two years for any game related to PHYSX at least. Since you have it working in at least ONE game it really should be working in the others.

If it was just one game, then I'd say it's an issue with that game, but apparently it's several. Unfortunately, I'm uncertain what the issue is.

Batman AC:
- I'm assuming you have it enabled in the setup.
- The Benchmark should show quite a difference between PhysX on and off so it's obvious when it's not working.
- *I have both PHYSX and DX11 disabled for Batman AC as it causes much stuttering. Even with a GTX780 it's not as smooth, and the visual difference is pretty minor in the game overall.

Yes I have it enabled and it doesnt show physx effects in either the benchmark or the actual game. What's really odd for me is that I seem to have some effects in Hawken.

I had an AMD card before I got the 780. Does this have something to do with it? I did a clean deinstallation of the amd drivers before even putting the new card in my system so I'm pretty sure that I'm on the save side there.
