Im talking about the metal slug in place of the back-end slot. I got my PC on the wall and on top of a desk and there seems to be not much dust. Should I leave it alone?

take the following image as a reference.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/8T440-Dell-Optiplex-SFF-Low-Profile-PCI-AGP-Slot-Cover-8T440-/261362661636?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cda6db904

Now the long part of the slot goes down in your chassis as it should rest next to your mobo. you'll see the top part will sit on your chassis where there is a hole. There is where you put the screw. If you have any PCI-e or PCI devices currently installed on your mobo, you can use those as a reference as it's the same, just follow the pattern.

My case is all weird and it does not let me since they are preinstalled. Its confusing so my question now is: Will it affect me if i do leave it open?

Leaving it open will NOT be a problem. But I'm a clean freak especially when it comes to my PC, and dust is my worst friend. I would slap a piece of tape from the outside to block off the hole. :D
