Asus H87M-Pro support overclocking?

H87 motherboards don't officially support overclocking, a few companies found ways around that, and put it into BIOS updates for the boards that were capable of doing it, not sure if intel ever got around to closing that off or not though. You'd want a z87 board for guaranteed overclocking.

I've never updated an ASUS board's BIOS before so I'm not the authority to ask really, which is why I linked the previous link. But I do advice caution in updating this as doing it wrong can come with so unpleasant consequences.

I tried updated the BIOS and failed to so I wanted to know if the Asus maximus vi hero supports OC?

It's a Z87 board so yes it does

It might have failed because the BIOS updates might not be cumulative, check which version you have (it will be on the POST screen) and download the one directly after that, and then update the next and so on and so forth until you're fully up to date
