If I improve my processor to a higher level of Ghz, will it improve fps when gaming on my computer?

Hi, I am currently running on a laptop with these specs:
8gb ram
AMD A4 5000 1.5GHz Processor
integrated graphics
Windows 8.

I was looking to upgrade my processor from an AMD A4 5000 1.5GHz, to an AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+ 14MB Cache processor. I was wondering if this would improve my fps on my computer when gaming?

you need also a new motherboard too. the fx is am3+ whereas the a4 is fm2(or 1)

edit: and the fx does not have a graphics card integrated so you need a dedicated graphics card too. with the increase in power needed make sure the psu can take it.

You can't really make that sort of upgrade in a laptop. At least it would be very complicated if you did.

That sounds like a great laptop for office work, or doing light recreational things (like watching movies) for when on a busride, but that isn't a gaming laptop. ("Gaming laptop" can be considered a bit of an oxymoron, since an entry-level desktop can give it a decent run for its money, usually.)

If you can find a way to speed up the processor, safely, though, then it should increase performance.
