Just bought a BENQ XL2411T and I'm unable to play at my native 1920x1080 resolution @ 120Hz. This is due to my graphics card not having any Dual link DVI ports. What would be the cheapest way for me to get this up and running at 1920x1080@120Hz?

I've looked at Dual link DVI to Mini DisplayPort adaptors but they're really really pricey.

Your card has a DVI-D: Video Output Function
Mini DisplayPort x 4 (Resolution up to 2560x1600)
Single-link DVI-I x 1 (Resolution up to 1920x1200)
Single-link DVI-D x 1 (Resolution up to 1920x1200)
Do you have a DVI-D cable?

From the manual - need to instal the .inf file.

"26 Getting the most from your BenQ monitor
How to upgrade the monitor on an existing computer
This instruction details the procedure for ma
nually updating the existing monitor driver
software on your Microsoft Windows computer.
It is currently tested as compatible for
Windows 8, Windows 7, and Wind
ows Vista Operating System (OS).
Installing monitor driver software involves selectin
g an appropriate information file (.inf) on the
BenQ LCD Monitor CD-ROM for the particul
ar model monitor you have connected, and
letting Windows install the correspo
nding driver files from the CD. You need only steer it in the
right direction. Windows has an Upgrade Device
Driver Wizard to automate the task and guide
you through the file selectio

I installed the .inf file, it's plugged into the DVI-D slot and I'm using a dual link DVI-D cable that came with the monitor. Same issue, 1024x768 is the highest I can go to maintain 120z. If I put it up to 1280x720 it drops to 75Hz and if I put it to anything higher it goes to 60Hz. Appreciate the help dish_moose.

But our enthusiasm is seriously curbed by the realization that the two DVI outputs are single-link-only. Resolutions over 1920x1200 (such as 2560x1600) are not supported and require an active mini-DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter that’s not included. Similarly, 120 Hz refresh rates also require a DVI adapter. That means that anyone planning to take advantage of AMD's HD3D initiative are forced to pay more unless they take the DisplayPort route.
