i have a m5a99x EVO r2.0 motherboard with a tx550m power supply. i would like to OC my fx-8320 to act like a fx-8350! (i have a cooler master 120xl so overheating is not a problem)
i am going to use the asus suite turboV Evo:

^It's much easier to overclock through the multiplier rather than Bus Speed.

As for the OP, don't use an automated program to overclock - you often end up with higher voltages or frequencies than your CPU can handle and it can be damaging. The BIOS is the best way to overclock - this should help: http://www.overclock.net/t/1348623/amd-bulldozer-and-pi...

Yes. You don't have to go to 5

Jook-D, what should i set the cpu voltage? It makes me type it in so there isnt a "value" like the guide said.

Couldn't agree more with this. As far as voltage is concerned, you have to have time. Because you need to see how low you can go without crashing. Then testing to see if that lowest voltage is stable through prime95 etc. Every chip is different so one size does not always fit all. Try 1.35 or so and go a tick lower each time.

Thanks i couldnt wait any longer before you replied so i put 1.3v. I booted and now i am running prime95 along with HWmonitor. My cpu temps are getting very high though D:

EDIT: i finished the test getting up to 61c and having my clock at 4.0 ghz! Im going to try again with 4.5ghz and 1.35V

Just try not to exceed 62c on the core and 70c on the socket. They're the max for the CPU (at load my socket temp slightly exceeds 70c but since I don't often run it at full load it's acceptable).

Which is the socket and which is the core in hwmonitor? Quick reply plz?

The core is the one under the actual name of your processor: AMD FX-8320. The socket will be somewhere above, labelled CPU or TMPIN1.

Just do the auto tuning. Auto tuning on extreme gets me like, 4.4ghz. Then I tweaked and got baselines for 4.5, 4.6, and 4.9 ghz.

My 4.6ghz is running 249FSB, 18.5 Multiplier, 1.38725V CPU, and 1.2V NB

While i am doing the final test (the one that takes the longest!) if my pc freezes what do i do?
